Generally, I don't watch tons of tv, but I can't lie about my love of BBC shows (yay Dr. Who and TopGear). Watching a lot of BBC makes one fairly familiar with the network's other programs. So, the other day I was watching something not on BBC and I saw a commercial for a show that looked just like BBC's Being Human, but with a different cast, so I figured they might have some new actors/characters. Imagine my surprise, however, when they announced that the ad was for Being Human, a SyFy original show. Ignoring the fact that I like to refer, in my mind, to SyFy as "the network formerly known as SciFi," I have no idea how they consider this to be an "original series" when the same show a has been on in GB for years, just with different actors. It's certainly not an original concept.
Thus, I ask, what the heck, network formerly known as SciFi?

I got so excited I almost peed my pants. And this lack of content is terribly depressing.
ReplyDeleteI hit the wrong button, but it's there now!
ReplyDeleteLOL. Indeed! I withdraw my previous comment. I think "SyFy" is the stupidest name change ever. And, seriously, I don't know how they are allowed to say that that show is original when it's not. Makes zero sense.
